The origin of Yinhuaxiang tea is mainly located on the southeast slope of Fenghuang Mountain in Chaozhou. The tea production history of Fenghuang Mountain in Chaozhou is very long, and contemporary scholars have traced the tea production history of Chaozhou back to the Tang Dynasty. It is widely rumored among the people that when Emperor Song fled south, he passed through Fenghuang Mountain and was extremely thirsty. His attendants picked a type of leaf from the mountain with leaf tips resembling a wren's mouth, cooked it into tea, and drank it to quench thirst and produce saliva. Therefore, later generations widely planted this tree and called it "Song Seed" or "wren's mouth tea".
